What’s it about?
Claudio Pietronik delivers a highly structured system that will help you master the basics of hybrid picking. A 21-day program that focuses on the key aspects of the skill.
Each week there is a different topic, and each day there is something new to work on. Check-in with an exercise, and then translate that into a lick. Create a habit of continuously getting better.
21 days, one skill to focus on. Learn how to do it, then understand how to apply it to your own playing.
What will I learn?
The 21-Day Fix is broken into three weeks, each with a primer lesson.
Week 1: Basic principles
Master the mechanics of the skill, knowing what strings to grab and the benefit of doing so. Then slowly build up your fluency across seven exercises and seven licks, improving hand synchronisation along the way.
Week 2: Arpeggios and Timing Independence
Take what you have learnt in week 1 and apply it to more challenging arpeggios shapes. In 8th, 16th and triplet rhythms, you will work on combining skills such as legato and string skipping.
Week 3: Creative application
You’ve learnt the technique. Now understand how to apply it. Seven longer, more musical licks, work on ideas such as rhythmic shifts, adaptations of sweep picking and more use of legato.
What techniques are covered?
Hybrid picking is the focus, but a technique is only as good as its application, which is why Claudio has also introduced a number of other skills.
- Hybrid picking
- Legato
- String skipping
What theory is covered?
Theory is not the focus of this Masterclass. This is all about teaching you an exciting skill. However, all ideas are designed to help you place the skill into the context of common scales and modes.
Who is this for?
Whether you’re new to hybrid picking or just need some focus with the technique, this is for you. Zone in on more exciting ideas and create the habit of improvement.
